On December 29, 2010 we awarded the 1st Matthew J. Schnirel Memorial Scholarship to UB Law Student and Buffalo native, Melissa Overbeck.  She is a very deserving recipient and she plans to stay local after graduation in 2011, just as Matt wanted to do.  We were honored to present Melissa with the award and have the unveiling of Matt's plaque that will hang in the law library, and each year the new scholarship recipient's name will be added to it.  Thank you to everyone who helped us get to this point with Matt's foundation.  We couldn't have done this without all of your support, time, donations, and love.  Matt would be so honored by all of this being done in his name.
